The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.162; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा प्रथमे (१.११.९) —
यर्ह्य् अम्बुजाक्षापससार भो भवान्
कुरून् मधून् वाथ सुहृद्-दिदृक्षया ।
तत्राब्द-कोटि-प्रतिमः क्षणो भवेद्
रविं विनाक्ष्णोर् इव नस् तवाच्युत ॥२.१.१६२॥yathā prathame (1.11.9) —
yarhy ambujākṣāpasasāra bho bhavān
kurūn madhūn vātha suhṛd-didṛkṣayā |
tatrābda-koṭi-pratimaḥ kṣaṇo bhaved
raviṃ vinākṣṇor iva nas tavācyuta ||2.1.162||
English translation
An example from the First Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [1.11.9]:
“O lotus-eyed Lord, whenever You go away to Mathurā, Vṛndāvana or Hastināpura to meet Your friends and relatives, every moment of Your absence seems like a million years. O infallible one, at that time our eyes become useless, as if bereft of sun.”
