The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.143; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा ललित-माधवे (९.४०) —
दरोदञ्चद्-गोपी-स्तन-परिसर-प्रेक्षण-भयात्
करोत्कम्पादीषच् चलति किल गोवर्धन-गिरौ ।
भयार्तैर् आरब्ध-स्तुतिर् अखिल-गोपैः स्मित-मुखं
पुरो दृष्ट्वा रामं जयति नमितास्यो मधुरिपुः ॥२.१.१४२॥

yathā lalita-mādhave (9.40) —
darodañcad-gopī-stana-parisara-prekṣaṇa-bhayāt
karotkampādīṣac calati kila govardhana-girau |
bhayārtair ārabdha-stutir akhila-gopaiḥ smita-mukhaṃ
puro dṛṣṭvā rāmaṃ jayati namitāsyo madhuripuḥ
||2.1.142||

English translation

अन् एxअम्प्ले fरोम् ललित-माधव [९.४०]:
“अल्ल् ग्लोरिएस् तो थे एनेम्य् ओf मधु, wहो मदे गोवर्धन् हिल्ल् स्हके स्लिघ्त्ल्य् ब्य् थे wएइघ्त् ओf ग्लन्चिन्ग् उपोन् थे एxपन्से ओf थे गोपीस्’ उप्रैसेद् ब्रेअस्त्स्, अन्द् wहो हुन्ग् हिस् हेअद् इन् स्हमे wहेन् हे सw बलराम स्मिलिन्ग् बेfओरे हिम्, wहिले हे wअस् बेइन्ग् प्रैसेद् ब्य् थे fएअर्fउल् चोwहेर्द् मेन्.”

(३७) शरणागत-पालकः —
पालयन् शरणापन्नान् शरणागत-पालकः ॥२.१.१४३॥

An example from Lalita-Mādhava [9.40]:
“All glories to the enemy of Madhu, who made Govardhan Hill shake slightly by the weight of glancing upon the expanse of the gopīs upraised breasts, and who hung His head in shame when He saw Balarāma smiling before Him, while He was being praised by the fearful cowherd men.”

(37) śaraṇāgata-pālakaḥ —
pālayan śaraṇāpannān śaraṇāgata-pālakaḥ ||2.1.143||

English translation

(37) śaraṇāgata-pālakaḥ: protector of the surrendered —
“He who protects those who surrender is called protector of the surrendered.”
