The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.105; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

विशुद्धो, यथा —
कपटं च हठश् च नाच्युते
बत सत्राजिति नाप्य् अदीनता ।
कथम् अद्य वृथा स्यमन्तक
प्रसभं कौस्तुभ-सख्यम् इच्छसि ॥२.१.१०४॥viśuddho, yathā —
kapaṭaṃ ca haṭhaś ca nācyute
bata satrājiti nāpy adīnatā |
katham adya vṛthā syamantaka
prasabhaṃ kaustubha-sakhyam icchasi ||2.1.104||

Fऔल्त्लेस्स्नेस्स् इस् इल्लुस्त्रतेद् अस् fओल्लोwस्:
“ओ श्यमन्तक जेwएल्! थेरे इस् नो देचेप्तिओन् इन् कृष्ण’स् त्र्यिन्ग् तो तके योउ fरोम् सत्राजित्, अन्द् थेरे इस् प्लेन्त्य् ओf मिसेर्लिनेस्स् इन् सत्राजित् तो केएप् योउ. थेन् wह्य् दो योउ देसिरे सो fओर्चिब्ल्य् तो मके अ fरिएन्द्स्हिप् wइथ् थे कौस्तुभ जेwएल् तोदय्?”
(२२) वशी —
वशी जितेन्द्रियः प्रोक्तः ॥२.१.१०५॥Faultlessness is illustrated as follows:
“O Śyamantaka jewel! There is no deception in Kṛṣṇa’s trying to take you from Satrājit, and there is plenty of miserliness in Satrājit to keep you. Then why do you desire so forcibly to make a friendship with the Kaustubha jewel today?”(22) vaśī —
vaśī jitendriyaḥ proktaḥ ||2.1.105||
English translation
(22) vaśī: subjugator—
“A subjugator is one who controls his senses.”
