The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.72; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
कृत-व्यलीके’पि न कुण्डलीन्द्र
त्वया विधेया मयि दोष-दृष्टिः ।
प्रवास्यमानो’सि सुरार्चितानां
परं हितायाद्य गवां कुलस्य ॥२.१.७१॥yathā —
kṛta-vyalīke’pi na kuṇḍalīndra
tvayā vidheyā mayi doṣa-dṛṣṭiḥ |
pravāsyamāno’si surārcitānāṃ
paraṃ hitāyādya gavāṃ kulasya ||2.1.71||

“ओ किन्ग् ओf थे स्नकेस्! थोउघ् इ हवे अffलिच्तेद् योउ, दो नोत् fइन्द् fऔल्त् wइथ् मे. Fओर् थे गोओद् ओf थे चोwस्, wओर्थ्य् ओf रेस्पेच्त् एवेन् ब्य् थे देवतास्, योउ स्होउल्द् लिवे fअर् fरोम् हेरे.”
(१०) वावदूकः —
श्रुति-प्रेष्ठोक्तिर् अखिल-वाग्-गुणान्वित-वाग् अपि ।
इति द्विधा निगदितो वावदूको मनीषिभिः ॥२.१.७२॥“O king of the snakes! Though I have afflicted you, do not find fault with Me. For the good of the cows, worthy of respect even by the devatās, you should live far from here.”
(10) vāvadūkaḥ —
śruti-preṣṭhoktir akhila-vāg-guṇānvita-vāg api |
iti dvidhā nigadito vāvadūko manīṣibhiḥ ||2.1.72||
English translation
(10) vāvadūkaḥ: eloquent —
“The wise say that there are two types of eloquence: speaking that is pleasing to the ear, and speaking with clever meaning.”
