The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.4.10; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथ एकादशे (११.१२.७) —
ते नाधीत-श्रुति-गणा नोपासित-महत्तमाः ।
अव्रतातप्त-तपसः मत्-सङ्गान् माम् उपागताः ॥१.४.१०॥

yatha ekādaśe (11.12.7) —
te nādhīta-śruti-gaṇā nopāsita-mahattamāḥ |
avratātapta-tapasaḥ mat-saṅgān mām upāgatāḥ
||1.4.10||

English translation

Prema arising from the great mercy of the Lord is explained in the Eleventh Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [11.12.7]:
“The persons I have mentioned did not undergo serious studies of the Vedic literature, nor did they worship great saintly persons, nor did they execute severe vows or austerities. Simply by association with Me and My devotees, they achieved Me.”
