The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.4.5; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र भावोत्थः —
भाव एवान्तर्-अङ्गाणम्-अङ्गानाम्-अनुसेवया ।
आरूढः परम-उत्कर्षम् भाव-उत्तः परिकीर्तितः ॥१.४.५॥

tatra bhāvotthaḥ —
bhāva evāntar-aṅgāṇam-aṅgānām-anusevayā |
ārūḍhaḥ parama-utkarṣam bhāva-uttaḥ parikīrtitaḥ
||1.4.5||

English translation

“Prema arising from bhāva is explained: That bhāva which reaches the
highest excellence by continual service using all aṅgas is called prema arising from bhāva.”
