The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.3.39 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तद्-गुणाख्याने आसाक्तिः, यथा कृष्ण-कर्णामृते (८८) —
माधुर्याद् अपि मधुरं मन्मथता तस्य किम् अपि कैशोरम् ।
चपल्याद् अपि चपलं चेतो बत हरति हन्त किं कुर्मः ॥१.३.३९ ॥tad-guṇākhyāne āsāktiḥ, yathā kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛte (88) —
mādhuryād api madhuraṃ manmathatā tasya kim api kaiśoram |
capalyād api capalaṃ ceto bata harati hanta kiṃ kurmaḥ ||1.3.39 ||
English translation

“That youthful Kṛṣṇa, with the qualities of Cupid, who is extremely sweet and extremely fickle, has stolen my heart. What should I do?”
