The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.3.23 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

स्कान्दे च —
अहो धन्यो’सि देवर्षे कृपया यस्य तत्-क्षणात् ।
नीचो’प्य् उत्पुलको लेभे लुब्धको रतिम् अच्युते ॥१.३.२३ ॥

skānde ca —
aho dhanyo’si devarṣe kṛpayā yasya tat-kṣaṇāt |
nīco’py utpulako lebhe lubdhako ratim acyute
||1.3.23 ||

English translation

Bhāva arising out of a devotee’s mercy has also been explained in the Skanda Purāṇa:
“O Nārada, you are noble. By your mercy the hunter, though low in nature, immediately developed goosebumps and attained rati for Lord Acyuta.”
