The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.306; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

लुब्धैर् वात्सल्य-सख्यादौ भक्तिः कार्यात्र साधकैः ।
व्रजेन्द्र-सुबलादीनां भाव-चेष्टित-मुद्रया ॥१.२.३०६॥

lubdhair vātsalya-sakhyādau bhaktiḥ kāryātra sādhakaiḥ |
vrajendra-subalādīnāṃ bhāva-ceṣṭita-mudrayā ||1.2.306||

English translation

“Practicing devotees greedy for paternal, friendly or servant relationships perform this bhakti with indications of the behavior and mood of Nanda (parent), Subala (friend) or others (servants).”
