The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.305; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ सम्बन्धानुगा —
सा सम्बन्धानुगा भक्तिः प्रोच्यते सद्भिर् आत्मनि ।
या पितृत्वादि-सम्बन्ध-मननारोपनात्मिका ॥१.२.३०५॥

atha sambandhānugā —
sā sambandhānugā bhaktiḥ procyate sadbhir ātmani |
yā pitṛtvādi-sambandha-mananāropanātmikā
||1.2.305||

English translation

Sambandhānugā-bhakti is defined as follows: The devotees define sambandhānugā-bhakti as bhakti in which there is constant contemplation of oneself as a parent, friend or servant of Kṛṣṇa, and identification with that role.”
