The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.304 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तथा च महा-कौर्मे —
अग्नि-पुत्रा महात्मानस् तपसा स्त्रीत्वम् आपिरे ।
भर्तारं च जगद्-योनिं वासुदेवम् अजं विभुम् ॥१.२.३०४ ॥

tathā ca mahā-kaurme —
agni-putrā mahātmānas tapasā strītvam āpire |
bhartāraṃ ca jagad-yoniṃ vāsudevam ajaṃ vibhum
||1.2.304 ||

English translation

Thus, it says in the Mahā-kūrma Purāṇa:
“The saintly sons of Agni attained the bodies of women by the path of vaidhī-bhakti, and attained as their husband the unborn, powerful Vāsudeva, the source of the universe.”
