The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.303 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

रिरंसां सुष्ठु कुर्वन् यो विधि-मार्गेण सेवते ।
केवलेनैव स तदा महिषीत्वम् इयात् पुरे ॥१.२.३०३ ॥

riraṃsāṃ suṣṭhu kurvan yo vidhi-mārgeṇa sevate |
kevalenaiva sa tadā mahiṣītvam iyāt pure ||1.2.303 ||

English translation

“A person who serves on the path of vaidhī-bhakti with a desire for a conjugal relationship with the Lord and a high position, but without desire for the gopīs type of love, after some time becomes a queen in Dvārakā. ”
