The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.279 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

ब्रह्मण्य् एव लयं यान्ति प्रायेण रिपवो हरेः ।
केचित् प्राप्यापि सारूप्याभासं मज्जन्ति तत्-सुखे ॥१.२.२७९ ॥

brahmaṇy eva layaṃ yānti prāyeṇa ripavo hareḥ |
kecit prāpyāpi sārūpyābhāsaṃ majjanti tat-sukhe ||1.2.279 ||

English translation

“The enemies of the Lord generally merge into the impersonal brahman. Some of them, even though they attain semblance of a form similar to the Lord’s (sārūpyābhāsam), remain absorbed in the happiness of brahman.”
