The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.264 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

सा भक्तिर् एक-मुख्याण्गाश्रितानैकाङ्गि काथ वा ।
स्ववासनानुसारेण निष्ठातः सिद्धि-कृद् भवेत् ॥१.२.२६४ ॥

sā bhaktir eka-mukhyāṇgāśritānaikāṅgi kātha vā |
svavāsanānusāreṇa niṣṭhātaḥ siddhi-kṛd bhavet ||1.2.264 ||

English translation

Bhakti, taking shelter of one principal aṅga or many aṅgas according to one’s desire, and practiced with steadiness, brings about the desired result (bhāva and prema).”
