The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.202 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

श्री-नारसिंहे च —
त्वां प्रपन्नो’स्मि शरणं देव-देव जनार्दन ।
इति यः शरणं प्राप्तस् तं क्लेशाद् उद्धराम्य् अहम् ॥१.२.२०२ ॥

śrī-nārasiṃhe ca —
tvāṃ prapanno’smi śaraṇaṃ deva-deva janārdana |
iti yaḥ śaraṇaṃ prāptas taṃ kleśād uddharāmy aham
||1.2.202 ||

English translation

Also it is stated in the Narasiṃha Purāṇa:
“I deliver from suffering that person who takes shelter of Me, saying ‘Lord of lords, exciter of all beings, I have taken You as my protector.’ ”
