The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.200; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ तद्-अर्थे’खिल-चेष्टितं, यथा पञ्चरात्रे —
लौकिकी वैदिकी वापि या क्रिया क्रियते मुने ।
हरि-सेवानुकूलैव सा कार्या भक्तिम् इच्छता ॥१.२.२००॥

atha tad-arthe’khila-ceṣṭitaṃ, yathā pañcarātre —
laukikī vaidikī vāpikriyā kriyate mune |
hari-sevānukūlaiva sā kāryā bhaktim icchatā
||1.2.200||

English translation

Making full efforts for the Lord, illustrated in the Pañcarātra:
“O sage! Among all the Vedic and routine actions that are performed, the person desiring bhakti should perform those which are favorable for service to the Lord.”
