The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.195; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अर्थो द्विधात्म-शब्दस्य पण्डितैर् उपपायते ।
देह्य्-अहन्तास्पदं कैश्चिद् देहः कैश्चिन् ममत्व-भाक् ॥१.२.१९५॥

artho dvidhātma-śabdasya paṇḍitair upapāyate |
dehy-ahantāspadaṃ kaiścid dehaḥ kaiścin mamatva-bhāk ||1.2.195||

English translation

“The learned say that ātmā has two meanings: some say that ātmā refers to the soul having the identity of ‘I’, while others say that ātmā refers to the body, since it belongs to the soul.”
