The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.186; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

मृदु-श्रद्धस्य कथिता स्वल्पा कर्माधिकारिता ।
तद्-अर्पितं हरौ दास्यम् इति कैश्चिद् उदीर्यते ॥१.२.१८६॥

mṛdu-śraddhasya kathitā svalpā karmādhikāritā |
tad-arpitaṃ harau dāsyam iti kaiścid udīryate ||1.2.186||

English translation

“Some persons say that this offering of duties by a person with weak faith in bhakti and a slight qualification for prescribed duties is called dāsyam.”
