The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.171 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र नाम-श्रवणं, यथा गारुडे —
संसार-सर्प-दष्ट-
नष्ट-चेष्टैक-भेषजम् ।
कृष्णेति वैष्णवं मन्त्रं
श्रुत्वा मुक्तो भवेन् नरः ॥१.२.१७१ ॥

tatra nāma-śravaṇaṃ, yathā gāruḍe —
saṃsāra-sarpa-daṣṭa-
naṣṭa-ceṣṭaika-bheṣajam |
kṛṣṇeti vaiṣṇavaṃ mantraṃ
śrutvā mukto bhaven naraḥ
||1.2.171 ||

English translation

Hearing the Holy Name of the Lord, from Garuḍa Purāṇa:
“Hearing the Vaiṣṇava mantraKṛṣṇa’, which is the only effective medicine to counteract the bite of the snake of saṃsāra, a man becomes liberated.”
