The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.164 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अगस्त्य-संहितायां च —
आघ्राणं गन्ध-पुष्पादेर् अर्चितस्य तपोधन ।
विशुद्धिः स्याद् अनन्तस्य घ्राणस्येहाभिधीयते ॥१.२.१६४ ॥

agastya-saṃhitāyāṃ ca —
āghrāṇaṃ gandha-puṣpāder arcitasya tapodhana |
viśuddhiḥ syād anantasya ghrāṇasyehābhidhīyate
||1.2.164 ||

English translation

From Agastya-saṃhitā:
“It is said that the nose smelling flowers and gandha offered to the infinite Lord is the cause of complete purification in this world.”
