The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.153 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. तत्र सम्प्रार्थनात्मिका, यथा पाद्मे —
युवतीनां यथा यूनि यूनां च युवतौ यथा ।
मनो’भिरमते तद्वन् मनो’भिरमतां त्वयि ॥१.२.१५३ ॥tatra samprārthanātmikā, yathā pādme —
yuvatīnāṃ yathā yūni yūnāṃ ca yuvatau yathā |
mano’bhiramate tadvan mano’bhiramatāṃ tvayi ||1.2.153 ||
English translation
Prayer is illustrated in the Padma Purāṇa:
“Just as the minds of young women are attracted to a young man, and the minds of young men are attracted to young women, may my mind be attracted to You!”
