The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.109; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

९ - हरि-वासर-सम्मानो, यथा ब्रह्म-वैवर्ते —
सर्व-पाप-प्रशमनं पुण्यम् आत्यन्तिकं तथा ।
गोविन्द-स्मारणं नॄणाम् एकदश्याम् उपोषणम् ॥१.२.१०९॥

9 - hari-vāsara-sammāno, yathā brahma-vaivarte —
sarva-pāpa-praśamanaṃ puṇyam ātyantikaṃ tathā |
govinda-smāraṇaṃ nṝṇām ekadaśyām upoṣaṇam
||1.2.109||

English translation

Respecting the day of the Lord, from the Brahmā-vaivarta Purāṇa:
“By fasting on Ekādaśī, a person destroys all sins, gains abundant pious credits and attains remembrance of the Lord.”
