The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.60; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

किं च ।
शास्त्रतः श्रूयते भक्तौ नृ-मात्रस्याधिकारिता ।
सर्वाधिकारितां माघ-स्नानस्य ब्रुवता यतः।

दृष्तान्तिता वशिष्ठेन हरि-भक्तिर् नृपं प्रति ॥१.२.६०॥

kiṃ ca |
śāstrataḥ śrūyate bhaktau nṛ-mātrasyādhikāritā |
sarvādhikāritāṃ māgha-snānasya bruvatā
yataḥ |

dṛṣtāntitā vaśiṣṭhena hari-bhaktir nṛpaṃ prati ||1.2.60||

English translation

“Furthermore, the following should be understood: The scriptures say that any human being is qualified to take a bath during the month of Māgha. Vaśiṣṭha has given that example concerning devotion to the Lord while speaking to the King.”
