The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.59; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्राप्य् एकान्तिनां श्रेष्था गोविन्द-हृत-मानसाः ।
येषां श्रीश-प्रसादोऽपि मनो हर्तुं न शक्नुयात् ॥१.२.५८॥

tatrāpy ekāntināṃ śreṣthā govinda-hṛta-mānasāḥ |
yeṣāṃ śrīśa-prasādo'pi mano hartuṃ na śaknuyāt ||1.2.58||

English translation

“अमोन्ग् थे देवोतेएस् wहो अरे देदिचतेद् सोलेल्य् तो सेर्विन्ग् थे लोर्द् इन् प्रेम, थे देवोतेएस् wहोसे हेअर्त्स् हवे बेएन् स्तोलेन् ब्य् गोविन्द अरे थे बेस्त्. एवेन् थे किन्द्नेस्स् ओf नारायण ओर् ओथेर् fओर्म्स् ओf कृष्ण चन्नोत् स्तेअल् थेइर् हेअर्त्स्.”

सिद्धान्ततस् त्व् अभेदेऽपि श्रीश-कृष्ण-स्वरूपयोः।

रसेनोत्कृष्यते कृष्ण-रूपम् एषा रस-स्थितिः ॥१.२.५९॥

“Among the devotees who are dedicated solely to serving the Lord in prema, the devotees whose hearts have been stolen by Govinda are the best. Even the kindness of Nārāyaṇa or other forms of Kṛṣṇa cannot steal their hearts.”

siddhāntatas tv abhede'pi śrīśa-kṛṣṇa-svarūpayoḥ |

rasenotkṛṣyate kṛṣṇa-rūpam eṣā rasa-sthitiḥ ||1.2.59||

English translation

“Though the forms of Viṣṇu and Kṛṣṇa are nondifferent according to the statements of scripture, Kṛṣṇa’s form is shown to be superior because of His rasas, which are endowed with the highest kind of prema. The very nature of His rasas shows Kṛṣṇa’s form to be superior.”
