The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.13; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

पञ्चरात्रे च —
सुरर्षे विहिता शास्त्रे हरिम् उद्दिश्य या क्रिया ।
सैव भक्तिर् इति प्रोक्ता तया भक्तिः परा भवेत् ॥१.२.१३॥

pañcarātre ca —
surarṣe vihitā śāstre harim uddiśya yā kriyā |
saiva bhaktir iti proktā tayā bhaktiḥ parā bhavet
||1.2.13||

English translation

The Nārada-pañcarātra says:
“O Devarṣi, all activities with the Lord as the object prescribed in the scriptures are called vaidhī-bhakti. By this performance of bhakti, one attains prema-bhakti.”
