The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.9; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

इत्य् असौ स्याद् विधिर् नित्यः सर्व-वर्णाश्रमादिषु ।
नित्यत्वे’प्य् अस्य निर्णीतम् एकादश्य्-आदिवत्-फलम् ॥१.२.९॥

ity asau syād vidhir nityaḥ sarva-varṇāśramādiṣu |
nityatve’py asya nirṇītam ekādaśy-ādivat-phalam ||1.2.9||

English translation

“Thus, everyone within and outside the varṇāśrama system should always follow this rule concerning worship of the Lord. Though it is always to be followed as a daily duty according to the scriptures, the scriptures also ascribe attractive material results from observing it, as in the case of the Ekādaśī-vrata.”
