The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.1.22; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

दुर्जातिर् एव सवनायोग्यत्वे कारणम् मतम् ।
दुर्जात्य्-आरम्भकं पापं यत् स्यात् प्रारब्धम् एव तत् ॥१.१.२२॥

durjātir eva savanāyogyatve kāraṇam matam |
durjāty-ārambhakaṃ pāpaṃ yat syāt prārabdham eva tat
||1.1.22||

English translation

“It is understood that his low birth as a dog-eater is the cause of his disqualification from performing sacrifices. The sinful reaction by which he attains such low birth in this life is called prārabdha sin.”
