दुर्जातिर् एव सवनायोग्यत्वे कारणम् मतम् ।
दुर्जात्य्-आरम्भकं पापं यत् स्यात् प्रारब्धम् एव तत् ॥१.१.२२॥durjātir eva savanāyogyatve kāraṇam matam |
durjāty-ārambhakaṃ pāpaṃ yat syāt prārabdham eva tat ||1.1.22||
English translation
“It is understood that his low birth as a dog-eater is the cause of his disqualification from performing sacrifices. The sinful reaction by which he attains such low birth in this life is called prārabdha sin.”
