The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.1.17; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

क्लेश-घ्नी शुभदा मोक्ष-लघुता-कृत् सुदुर्लभा ।
सान्द्रानन्द-विशेषात्मा श्री-कृष्णाकर्षिणी च सा ॥१.१.१७॥

kleśa-ghnī śubhadā mokṣa-laghutā-kṛt sudurlabhā |
sāndrānanda-viśeṣātmā śrī-kṛṣṇākarṣiṇī ca sā
||1.1.17||

English translation

“The unique characteristics of bhakti are: its ability to destroy suffering; its bestowal of auspiciousness; its disregard for liberation; its rarity of attainment; its manifestation of concentrated bliss; and its ability to attract Kṛṣṇa.”
