अपि त्रैलोक्य-राज्यस्य हेतोः किं नु मही-कृते ।
निहत्य धार्तराष्ट्रान् नः का प्रीतिः स्याज् जनार्दन ॥ ३५ ॥

api trailokya-rājyasya hetoḥ kiṃ nu mahī-kṛte |
nihatya dhārtarāṣṭrān naḥ kā prītiḥ syāj janārdana || 35 ||

api–even; trai-lokya–of the three worlds; rājyasya–the kingdom; hetoḥ–for the sake of; kim nu–what to speak of; mahī-kṛte–the sake of the Earth;nihatya–by killing; dhārtarāṣṭrān–the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra; naḥ–for us; –what; prītiḥ–happiness; syāt–will there be; janārdana–O Janārdana.

O Janārdana, if we kill the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra–even for the sake of sovereignty over the three worlds, what to speak of this Earth–what joy shall we receive?
