अन्वेशयन्न् उपालब्धो विप्रलब्धः प्रिया-गणैः
हासितो बहुधा ताभिर् हृत-स्व इव तिश्ठतिव
सन्त-ऋतुना जुश्टं वन-खण्डं क्वचिन् मुदा
प्रविश्य चन्दनाम्भोभिः कुङ्कुमादि-जलैर् अपि
विषिञ्चतो यन्त्र-मुक्तैस् तत्-पङ्कनापितौ मिथः
सख्यो ऽप्य् एवं विषिञ्चन्ति ताश् च तौ सिञ्चतः पुनः

hāsito bahudhā tābhir hṛta-sva iva tiśṭhativa
santa-ṛtunā juśṭaṃ vana-khaṇḍaṃ kvacin mudā

English translation of verse:

Sometimes the gopīs hid and made Him search after them. Sometimes they teased and scolded Him. Sometimes they joked with Him and made Him laugh. In these ways they charmed Lord Kṛṣṇa and stole His heart. (228-229) Sometimes Lord Kṛṣṇa happily enters the forest in the beautiful springtime and with a sprinkler sprinkles the gopīs with water mixed with sandal, kuṇkuma, and other colorful scents. The gopīs respond by sprinkling Him. Then Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa sprinkle each other again and again.
