पूर्ण-चन्द्र-मुखी रम्या यामिनी निर्मलाम्बरा ।
करोति कस्य न स्वान्तम् एकान्त-मदनोत्तरम् ॥
udāharaṇam,
pūrṇa-candra-mukhī ramyā yāminī nirmalāmbarā |
karoti kasya na svāntam ekānta-madanottaram ||
A night when the sky is clear is charming: Its face is the full moon. Whose heart does not become solely predominated by Cupid because of it?
atra ye cyute ke datte kāminīti bhavati.ubhayos tulyāni viśeṣaṇāni.
By deleting the letter y and adding the letter k, the word yāminī (night) becomes kāminī (ladylove). The modifiers equally apply to both.
Commentary:
The new meaning of the verse is: “The face of the charming ladylove is like a full moon and her clothes are impeccable. Whose heart does not become solely predominated by Cupid because of her?”
