अरुणं च नील-नलिन-प्रभम् अपि नयनं प्रिये मयि ते ।
आसन्नश् च ममायं हृदि कम्पश् चम्पक द्योते ॥
aruṇaṃ ca nīla-nalina-prabham api nayanaṃ priye mayi te |
āsannaś ca mamāyaṃ hṛdi kampaś campaka dyote ||
aruṇam—reddish; ca—and; nīla—blue; nalina—like a lotus; prabham—whose shine; api—and; nayanam—eyes; priye—O beloved; mayi—toward Me; te—Your; āsannaḥ—has sat down (or has set); ca—and; mama—of Mine; ayam—this; hṛdi—in the heart; kampaḥ—trembling; campaka—like a campaka flower; dyote—O You whose effulgence.
Sweetie, you have the radiance of a campaka flower. Your lotus-like eyes have become red. Now my heart is overtaken by a tremor. (Alaṅkāra-kaustubha 8.215)
