29. Parivṛtti
परिवृत्तिर् विनिमयो यो'र्थानां स्यात् समासमैः ॥ १०.११३cd ॥
parivṛttir vinimayo yo'rthānāṃ syāt samāsamaiḥ ||10.113cd||
parivṛttiḥ—the ornament called parivṛtti; vinimayaḥ—the exchange; yaḥ—which; arthānām—of things; syāt—is; sama-asamaiḥ—with the same things or with dissimilar things.[1]
Parivṛtti (exchange) is the exchange of things for similar things or for dissimilar things.
artha-vinimayaḥ parivṛttiḥ. sa ca samair asamaiś ca.
Parivṛtti is the interchange of things. The acquired thing has either similar value or dissimilar value.
