Commentary:

According to Paṇḍita-rāja Jagannātha, mālā-dīpaka should be counted as a variety of the ekāvalī ornament (modified series) (10.215).[2]

This is his example of mālā-dīpaka,

āsvadena raso rasena kavitā kāvyena vāṇī tayā
  lokāntaḥkaraṇānurāga-rasikaḥ sabhyaḥ sabhā cāmunā

dāridryānala-dahyamāna-jagatī-pīyūṣa-dhārādhara
  kṣoṇī-nātha tayā bhavāṃś ca bhavatā bhū-maṇḍalaṃ bhāsate
||

“O king, O cloud who rains nectar on the world scorched by the fire of poverty! The rasas are resplendent by being relished. Poetry is resplendent with the rasas. Speech is resplendent with poetry. A cultured enjoyer loved by all is resplendent with speech. An assembly is resplendent with a cultured enjoyer. You are resplendent with an assembly. And the Earth is resplendent with you” (Rasa-gaṅgādhara, KM p. 328).
