समता च प्रक्रान्त-प्रकृति-प्रत्ययाविपर्यासेनार्थस्य विसंवादिता-विरहः. स च प्रक्रम-भङ्गाख्य-दोषाभावरूपत्वान् न गुणः.

samatā ca prakrānta-prakṛti-pratyayāviparyāsenārthasya visaṃvāditā-virahaḥ. sa ca prakrama-bhaṅgākhya-doṣābhāvarūpatvān na guṇaḥ.

The artha-guṇa samatā consists in the absence of a lack of correspondence with the meaning by not changing the kind of suffix or word base that had been used. Samatā is actually not a guṇa because it is the absence of the fault called prakrama-bhaṅga (broken symmetry) (7.76-81).
