व्याकरण-सूत्र-हीनं च्युत-संस्कृति. अयं बाधति मां स्मरः. अत्र बाधतीति.
vyākaraṇa-sūtra-hīnaṃ cyuta-saṃskṛti. ayaṃ bādhati māṃ smaraḥ. atra bādhatīti.
(2) A word that is not based on a grammatical rule constitutes the fault called cyuta-saṃskṛti (grammatical mistake). An example is the word bādhati in: ayaṃ bādhati māṃ smaraḥ, “Cupid bothers me.”
Commentary:
The ‘verb’ bādhati is grammatically wrong. It should read either bādhayati or badhnāti. The term cyuta-saṃskṛti (grammatical mistake) literally means: “That by means of which the saṃskāra (subconscious impression) has fallen.”
