सं प्रेर॑ते॒ अनु॒ वात॑स्य वि॒ष्ठा ऐनं॑ गच्छन्ति॒ सम॑नं॒ न योषा॑: । ताभि॑: स॒युक्स॒रथं॑ दे॒व ई॑यते॒ऽस्य विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॑ ॥
सं प्रेरते अनु वातस्य विष्ठा ऐनं गच्छन्ति समनं न योषाः । ताभिः सयुक्सरथं देव ईयतेऽस्य विश्वस्य भुवनस्य राजा ॥
sam prerate anu vātasya viṣṭhā ainaṃ gacchanti samanaṃ na yoṣāḥ | tābhiḥ sayuk sarathaṃ deva īyate 'sya viśvasya bhuvanasya rājā ||

English translation:

“Solid masses advance to meet the wind; the mares come to him as to battle; associated with themandin the same car the divinity proceeds, the sovereign of all this world.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Mares come to him: or, his wives, the trees,shrubs etc., follow him as timid women obey a resolute man
