भ॒द्रं वै वरं॑ वृणते भ॒द्रं यु॑ञ्जन्ति॒ दक्षि॑णम् । भ॒द्रं वै॑वस्व॒ते चक्षु॑र्बहु॒त्रा जीव॑तो॒ मन॑: ॥
भद्रं वै वरं वृणते भद्रं युञ्जन्ति दक्षिणम् । भद्रं वैवस्वते चक्षुर्बहुत्रा जीवतो मनः ॥
bhadraṃ vai varaṃ vṛṇate bhadraṃ yuñjanti dakṣiṇam | bhadraṃ vaivasvate cakṣur bahutrā jīvato manaḥ ||

English translation:

“Men solicit the boon of good fortune, they acquire abundant good fortune, (I desire) the auspicioussight of Vaivasvat; the mind of a living being is variously (directed).”
