अग्ने॑ के॒तुर्वि॒शाम॑सि॒ प्रेष्ठ॒: श्रेष्ठ॑ उपस्थ॒सत् । बोधा॑ स्तो॒त्रे वयो॒ दध॑त् ॥
अग्ने केतुर्विशामसि प्रेष्ठः श्रेष्ठ उपस्थसत् । बोधा स्तोत्रे वयो दधत् ॥
agne ketur viśām asi preṣṭhaḥ śreṣṭha upasthasat | bodhā stotre vayo dadhat ||

English translation:

“You, Agni, are the best beloved and most excellent banner of the people; understand (our praise)giving food to the praiser.”
