पा॒व॒कव॑र्चाः शु॒क्रव॑र्चा॒ अनू॑नवर्चा॒ उदि॑यर्षि भा॒नुना॑ । पु॒त्रो मा॒तरा॑ वि॒चर॒न्नुपा॑वसि पृ॒णक्षि॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे ॥
पावकवर्चाः शुक्रवर्चा अनूनवर्चा उदियर्षि भानुना । पुत्रो मातरा विचरन्नुपावसि पृणक्षि रोदसी उभे ॥
pāvakavarcāḥ śukravarcā anūnavarcā ud iyarṣi bhānunā | putro mātarā vicarann upāvasi pṛṇakṣi rodasī ubhe ||
English translation:
“Agni, who are of purifying radiance, of unsullied lustre, of full brightness, you issue forth withsplendour; visiting your parents (like) a son, you protect (the worshippers), you unite both heaven and earth.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
You unite: or, you fill both worlds, i.e., heaven with oblations and earth wirh rain
