Rig Veda 10.135.7
Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:
इ॒दं य॒मस्य॒ साद॑नं देवमा॒नं यदु॒च्यते॑ । इ॒यम॑स्य धम्यते ना॒ळीर॒यं गी॒र्भिः परि॑ष्कृतः ॥
इदं यमस्य सादनं देवमानं यदुच्यते । इयमस्य धम्यते नाळीरयं गीर्भिः परिष्कृतः ॥
idaṃ yamasya sādanaṃ devamānaṃ yad ucyate | iyam asya dhamyate nāḻīr ayaṃ gīrbhiḥ pariṣkṛtaḥ ||
English translation:
“This is the dwelling of Yama, which is called the fabric of the gods; this pipe is sounded for his(gratification), he is propitiated by hymns.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
The hymn may be to Āditya and to Yama: Taittirīya Brāhmaṇa3.11.8; there is a dialogue between Naciketas and Yama in Kaṭha Upaniṣad on what becomes of the soul afterdeath; the father of Naciketas is named: Auddālaki and Āruṇi
