यु॒वोर्हि मा॒तादि॑तिर्विचेतसा॒ द्यौर्न भूमि॒: पय॑सा पुपू॒तनि॑ । अव॑ प्रि॒या दि॑दिष्टन॒ सूरो॑ निनिक्त र॒श्मिभि॑: ॥
युवोर्हि मातादितिर्विचेतसा द्यौर्न भूमिः पयसा पुपूतनि । अव प्रिया दिदिष्टन सूरो निनिक्त रश्मिभिः ॥
yuvor hi mātāditir vicetasā dyaur na bhūmiḥ payasā pupūtani | ava priyā didiṣṭana sūro ninikta raśmibhiḥ ||
English translation:
“O (Mitra and Varuṇa), endowed with various wisdom, your mother Aditi, the earth, (is) for thepurification (of all things) by its libations, as the heaven (purifies by its rain); you display before us precious(treasures), and wash us with the sun's rays.”
