उप॑ ते॒ गा इ॒वाक॑रं वृणी॒ष्व दु॑हितर्दिवः । रात्रि॒ स्तोमं॒ न जि॒ग्युषे॑ ॥
उप ते गा इवाकरं वृणीष्व दुहितर्दिवः । रात्रि स्तोमं न जिग्युषे ॥
upa te gā ivākaraṃ vṛṇīṣva duhitar divaḥ | rātri stomaṃ na jigyuṣe ||

English translation:

“I have brought (these verses) before you like kine; accept, O Night, daughter of the sky, (my oblation)as the eulogy of one about to conquer.”
