हस्ते॑नै॒व ग्रा॒ह्य॑ आ॒धिर॑स्या ब्रह्मजा॒येयमिति॒ चेदवो॑चन् । न दू॒ताय॑ प्र॒ह्ये॑ तस्थ ए॒षा तथा॑ रा॒ष्ट्रं गु॑पि॒तं क्ष॒त्रिय॑स्य ॥
हस्तेनैव ग्राह्य आधिरस्या ब्रह्मजायेयमिति चेदवोचन् । न दूताय प्रह्ये तस्थ एषा तथा राष्ट्रं गुपितं क्षत्रियस्य ॥
hastenaiva grāhya ādhir asyā brahmajāyeyam iti ced avocan | na dūtāya prahye tastha eṣā tathā rāṣṭraṃ gupitaṃ kṣatriyasya ||

English translation:

“And (the gods) said (to Bṛhaspati), "This plural dge of hers is to be taken by the hand, this is the wife ofBrahmā; she has not made herself known to the messenger sent (to seek her), so is the kingdom of a kṣatriyaprotected".”
