यदा॑सु॒ मर्तो॑ अ॒मृता॑सु नि॒स्पृक्सं क्षो॒णीभि॒: क्रतु॑भि॒र्न पृ॒ङ्क्ते । ता आ॒तयो॒ न त॒न्व॑: शुम्भत॒ स्वा अश्वा॑सो॒ न क्री॒ळयो॒ दन्द॑शानाः ॥
यदासु मर्तो अमृतासु निस्पृक्सं क्षोणीभिः क्रतुभिर्न पृङ्क्ते । ता आतयो न तन्वः शुम्भत स्वा अश्वासो न क्रीळयो दन्दशानाः ॥
yad āsu marto amṛtāsu nispṛk saṃ kṣoṇībhiḥ kratubhir na pṛṅkte | tā ātayo na tanvaḥ śumbhata svā aśvāso na krīḻayo dandaśānāḥ ||
English translation:
“When a mortal mixing with these immortal nymphs has conversed with them with words and actions,they (becoming) ducks do not show their bodies, like plural yful horses champing (the bit).”
