Rig Veda 10.60.1

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

आ जनं॑ त्वे॒षसं॑दृशं॒ माही॑नाना॒मुप॑स्तुतम् । अग॑न्म॒ बिभ्र॑तो॒ नम॑: ॥
आ जनं त्वेषसंदृशं माहीनानामुपस्तुतम् । अगन्म बिभ्रतो नमः ॥
ā janaṃ tveṣasaṃdṛśam māhīnānām upastutam | aganma bibhrato namaḥ ||

English translation:

“We have come to the person n of splendid appearance, the honoured of the mighty, bringing himreverential homage.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

To the person n: janam = rājā Asamāti or his country, janapadam
