वृषा॒ न क्रु॒द्धः प॑तय॒द्रज॒स्स्वा यो अ॒र्यप॑त्नी॒रकृ॑णोदि॒मा अ॒पः । स सु॑न्व॒ते म॒घवा॑ जी॒रदा॑न॒वेऽवि॑न्द॒ज्ज्योति॒र्मन॑वे ह॒विष्म॑ते ॥
वृषा न क्रुद्धः पतयद्रजस्स्वा यो अर्यपत्नीरकृणोदिमा अपः । स सुन्वते मघवा जीरदानवेऽविन्दज्ज्योतिर्मनवे हविष्मते ॥
vṛṣā na kruddhaḥ patayad rajassv ā yo aryapatnīr akṛṇod imā apaḥ | sa sunvate maghavā jīradānave 'vindaj jyotir manave haviṣmate ||
English translation:
“As in the world an angry bull rushes (upon another), so does Indra, who directs (towards us) thewaters, the brides of the lord (of earth); when (the Soma) is effused, Maghavat bestows light upon the man, whogives promptly, who offers oblations.”
