Rig Veda 10.37.12

यद्वो॑ देवाश्चकृ॒म जि॒ह्वया॑ गु॒रु मन॑सो वा॒ प्रयु॑ती देव॒हेळ॑नम् । अरा॑वा॒ यो नो॑ अ॒भि दु॑च्छुना॒यते॒ तस्मि॒न्तदेनो॑ वसवो॒ नि धे॑तन ॥
यद्वो देवाश्चकृम जिह्वया गुरु मनसो वा प्रयुती देवहेळनम् । अरावा यो नो अभि दुच्छुनायते तस्मिन्तदेनो वसवो नि धेतन ॥
yad vo devāś cakṛma jihvayā guru manaso vā prayutī devaheḻanam | arāvā yo no abhi ducchunāyate tasmin tad eno vasavo ni dhetana ||

English translation:

“Whatever sin, great and exciting the wrath of the gods, we have committed against you, O gods, bythe tongue, or the working of the mind, do you, Vasu, transfer that sin to him, who assailing terrifies us.”
