Rig Veda 10.37.3

न ते॒ अदे॑वः प्र॒दिवो॒ नि वा॑सते॒ यदे॑त॒शेभि॑: पत॒रै र॑थ॒र्यसि॑ । प्रा॒चीन॑म॒न्यदनु॑ वर्तते॒ रज॒ उद॒न्येन॒ ज्योति॑षा यासि सूर्य ॥
न ते अदेवः प्रदिवो नि वासते यदेतशेभिः पतरै रथर्यसि । प्राचीनमन्यदनु वर्तते रज उदन्येन ज्योतिषा यासि सूर्य ॥
na te adevaḥ pradivo ni vāsate yad etaśebhiḥ patarai ratharyasi | prācīnam anyad anu vartate raja ud anyena jyotiṣā yāsi sūrya ||

English translation:

“No ancient rākṣasa abides, Sūrya, near you when you desire to yoke to your chariot your rapidsteeds; one ancient radiance follows (you) while you rise with another.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

One ancient radiance: i.e., the light of themoon (prācīnam = turned towards the east)
