दि॒वस्पृ॑थि॒व्योरव॒ आ वृ॑णीमहे मा॒तॄन्त्सिन्धू॒न्पर्व॑ताञ्छर्य॒णाव॑तः । अ॒ना॒गा॒स्त्वं सूर्य॑मु॒षास॑मीमहे भ॒द्रं सोम॑: सुवा॒नो अ॒द्या कृ॑णोतु नः ॥
दिवस्पृथिव्योरव आ वृणीमहे मातॄन्त्सिन्धून्पर्वताञ्छर्यणावतः । अनागास्त्वं सूर्यमुषासमीमहे भद्रं सोमः सुवानो अद्या कृणोतु नः ॥
divaspṛthivyor ava ā vṛṇīmahe mātṝn sindhūn parvatāñ charyaṇāvataḥ | anāgāstvaṃ sūryam uṣāsam īmahe bhadraṃ somaḥ suvāno adyā kṛṇotu naḥ ||
English translation:
“We solicit the protection of heaven and earth; (we solicit) the maternal rivers, the mountains with theirlakes, the sun and the dawn, for freedom from sin; may the Soma that is now effused secure to us today goodfortune.”
